T.V. Shows you should watch

I never really realised before that whilst this blog is mainly about my love of books, i also have a healthy obsession for television that i don't really mention. Paranormal, sci-fi type programs especially (also a good murder program, gotta love 'em).

I thought i'd take a day long excursion into the world of visual media to present you with some of my favourite programs. I'm sure most of you've seen them but if you haven't: you should seriously check them out!

What would any list be without Buffy the Vampire Slayer? This is the original vampire/demon hunting/monster program, complete with hot guys, fangs, creepy spells and every weapon of your heart's desire. What's not to love?

For me Castle if one the best murder-mystery shows out there, sure, season 4's taken a more...sombre tone, but that doesn't stop the awesomeness that is Castle! Looking for a suspenseful, modern, sexual tension filled and humorous show? Look no further!

Fringe is kind of the wild card of this small list; an out-there, slightly freaky, mind bending program that appeals to your intellect whilst at the same time creeping you out. I like it because it delves into the considered 'impossible' miracles and actually somehow makes them work. Plus, you know, i'm seriously a Olivia - Peter fan, just saying.

For the teens and wannabe teens out there, this is a good program that i think you'll like. Though it's only one season in so far, it seems to have established a good storyline with interesting characters and adequate elements of horror, romance, mystery, and issues that most teenagers wil be able to identify with.

Supernatural is demon hunting at the basics, no lovey-dovey romances or epic social dramas (not much, anyway) to cloud things beyond comprehension. You just get the monster and the hunters, and i absolutely love it. Plus, it doesn't hurt that the Winchesters aren't exactly ugly either...

Firefly only went for one season (*shakes fist*) but as one of Joss Whedon's creations, it was bound to be sheer genius. I think it's unfair that shows like Firefly get cancelled so quickly when Jersey Shore and Keeping up with the Kardashians continue for multiple seasons. I know they're addictive, but all it is is mindless brain candy *sigh*

So that's just a few of my favourites, although i reality i have about a gazillion that would take me about two days to blog about, so let's just stick with this. Do you guys agree, or do you have some awesome gems that i totally forgot about? I'm always on the hunt for new addictions, so fire away!
