Q: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother’s Day, in celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?
Uhh...a lot of the books i read are only possivle because the parent is not there to 'limit' their activities. Untrue, yes, but handy. Fathers seem to be of the inspiring type, but i've gotta say i love Shophie and her Mum is Hex Hall and Clara and her's in Hallowed. At least they have a relationship.

Have an awesome Friday,
Imo

  1. Great choice! I love Hallowed, and have heard GREAT things about Hex Hall, which is on my forever-growing wish list. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. OOoh! I have got to read the last 2 Hex Hall books! I held off on the second because everyone was saying there's a killer cliffhanger and now I am swamped with too many books! But I like that there are good relationships with parents in books--YA or adult. I have a good relationship with my mom, so I like seeing it in books too!

  4. I still haven't read Hex Hall yet, but I've heard great things about it! I totally agree about Hallowed. Good answers! :)

Thanks for stopping by and for the follow! :) I tried to follow you back, but for some reason nothing is showing up! I'm sure it's my computer... it does this sometimes. So I'll try again later from another computer. :)

  5. I used Hallowed too. And even though the mom isn't in it much Hex Hall is a great one too. Sophie and her mom are pretty funny. I love Sophie's humor. My Feature & Follow Friday

  12. I totally agree with your choices here. I didnt even think of Hex Hall when I read the question. But their relationship is definitely a lot more grounded then other parent/child relationships that I have read in YA books. Good picks. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier, I'm returning some of the love.
