Follow Friday #6?

How's it cracking?

HOPPERS: If you are a follower, please leave a comment below and say 'HI', i do read every one and make an effort to visit all of your awesomesauce blogs.

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

I know so many people are probably saying this, but for me City of Bones was THE book that bit me with the reading drug. Before i read it, i probably bought about one book every two years, and read about a quarter of what i do now. City of Bones really got me interested in the YA paranormal/fantasy genre, and led me to others such as The Iron Fey, Twilight, Fallen, and Wicked Lovely. Without it, i never would have developed this kind of interest in books, and i never would have found sites such as Goodreads and got my blog.

So what is it for you? Harry Potter? Classics such as Pride and Prejudice? Leave a comment, and let me know. But most importantly, have an AMAZEBALLS weekend :P
Omnom Out,
Imo :D

  1. Definitely someone effected by Harry Potter here. However, fresh out of college it was Cassandra Clare that helped rope in my once smashed-by-academic-reading-and-homework love of reading. It was the first series followed by My Sister's Keeper that I read out of college :)

  9. I also loved City of Bones! You asked on my blog how I got ARCs of Wither and Matched. Well, I work part time at a bookstore, and I got them from there. I also got an extra copy of Wither that I gave to a friend from clicking on a link in the Shelf Awareness Daily email. And if you have an e-reader, you can get e-galleys from Netgalley.com. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I'm now following you as well!
