Have an awesome friday,

Q: Happy Father’s Day! Who is your favorite dad character in a book and why?
That's a toughie, mainly because most of the books i read have a disturbing lack of parenting influence. Unfortunately, this seems to be YAs fatal flaw.
I've seen Arthur Weasley mentioned a lot, and i can't help but agree. He's just so cute with his muggle obsession, and how he calls his wife 'Mollywobbles'...awwww.
Have an awesome friday,
Imo xx
Totally agree about that! Especially with YA! Even the adult books I was thinking of--at a very ungodly hour of 3am--didn't really have any dads! One of the last ones I read had a bad one, so I definitely wasn't choosing him!

Yeah, it's an unfortunate occurrence in YA books, the lack of present parents. It's an easy excuse for teenagers to have so much freedom: busy parents, neglectful parents, kids away at boarding school, etc. It's nice to be reminded with topics like this that there are a few great ones out there. Like Mr. Weasley, he's a perfect answer!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I'm following you back :-)

Definitely agree with you. Parents are practically non-existent in YA books. New Follower :)
